I'm no Otaku, but I won't shy away from a good old anime TF. So, I
was just wondering what everyone's personal favorite anime TF is?
Mine, is the one where the mother of a half-breed demon turns into
a bee-monster on an episode of Saiyuki. Another personal favorite
was the cow transformation in XXXholic.

Episode 21. It is a brief dream sequence, though it is still pretty
darn good.

My favorite are the great ape TFs of Dragon Ball Z. There was also
a pretty hilarious episode of Sgt. Frog where he swapped bodies
with Natsumi in order to learn the secret of her power or
something. There was also an episode where he turned Natsumi into a
dog and tried to get footage of her doing embarrassing things.

I have to say I like a few. One of my favorites is when Goku goes
SSJ3 for the first time against Buu. The music, the destruction
scenes, the screaming... it was all so epic I felt my goosebumps
get goosebumps and my eyes teared up.
Too epic.
But yeah, TG related I do like the "Becoming My Girlfriend" swap. I
like a ton of swaps that I can't remember atm, but that one sticks
out because it's one of my faves. I also like one where a boy and a
girl fall down some stairs in a manga and they wind up swapping
bodies but are unaware of it until later on (the boy in her body is
watching porn with a friend at his house).

My absolute favorite is this TG TF sequence from an episode of ONE
PIECE:

What makes it exceptional is that it:
- involves a fully adult character (rather than a high school teen)
as both the 'before' and 'after'
- goes from a masculine extreme to a feminine extreme
- involves significant shrinking in the TF
- is neither too quick nor too slow
- takes place in front of a crowd, as the center of their attention
- the (unwitting) victim displays heightened shock and embarrassment
--and, as icing on the cake, there's a gradual morphing of the
voice during the process, which is very rarely done in these things
(either in animation or live-action).

@Guestimation Was that a Tim Curry lookalike turning a man into a
woman, while a bunch of transvestites watched or did I just go
crazy? Anime man, it messes with your mind. Personally, my favorite
anime TF comes from the anime version of Grimm's fairy tales. The
magic heart episode, had a rather awesome donkey TF, even though it
was goofy and on the short side. Also, there was an episode of
Inuyasha The Final Act, where a tanuki disguised himself as hot
girl in order to trick shippo. The TF was poof, but I still found
the situation hilarious.

Yes it was; you're not losing your sanity (as far as I can tell),
lol.
Truth be told, I've only seen clips from that anime series; I
haven't followed the anime or manga... so I don't know why the
crowd is filled with transvestites or what the overall plot was
with that. I know the overall series is about a pirate world, and
(looking up the info online) the recurring Tim Curry character,
'Ivankov', always looks basically like that, with those hypodermic
needle fingers that can inject a variety of 'super-charged'
hormones (estrogen, adrenaline, etc) at will.
Actually, the transvestite stuff in there does nothing for me, but
the TF it surrounds is top-flight, imho.

Guestimation, that was an awesome transformation! I wish I followed
One Piece more. They have body swaps in that show too, which I'm
eager to view.

Another good one was an old OVA series that revolved around TFs. It
was called K.O. Beast and was made by the creators of samurai pizza
cats (Which had an awesome TG episode, by the way) K.O. Beast
focused on four young people who could morph into beast people
because of belonging to special clans. All their TFs were poof
related, however there TFs also had an effect on the plot. Humans
on the show, hate the beast people despite the fact they look
exactly like humans except for their morphing ability. So, the show
kind of created a strange sort of racism surrounding TFs, which is
something rather uncommon.

Also, I forget to mention there is really awesome TF in the first
theme song. Where one of the main characters, who morphs into a
tiger-man rips off his cloak to reveal a threatening beast like
form. Short, unique and very awesome. Happens at the 7 second mark
