Possible body swap in Tales from the CthulhuVerse #1

This issue retells and updates HP Lovecraft's "The Thing on the Doorstep" with a modern setting and a gender-flipped cast. I haven't read the issue, but it seems safe to assume that there are some body-swapping shenanigans, as there were in the original story.

Its good... until #50 L.R. came, those demonic eyes were perfectly terrifying. The huge 'Venom' teeth and tongue ruined it, for me.

The Chameleon Conspiracy starts in June and runs through Amazing Spider-Man #67-69 plus a giant-size issue all in that same month. Hopefully we get some Chameleon MTF stuff for once.

The Chameleon has done MTF before.. albeit mostly just one panel.
However, he has had two plotlines where he spent an entire issue or more in female disguise. Once as Dr. Kafka and once as an armored truck driver named Janice.

I would love to see him play a woman for longer though..particularly someone close to Peter.

I like the way the Chameleon disguised as Janice. Instead of using some kind of high-tech gadget, he used the conventional way.

Actually, it sucks. Technology or shapeshifting power is better than old mask disguise.
It has low level of variety. (Shapeshifter can change its face quickly into anyone but disguise is stucked in one person.)

You're certainly welcome to your opinion, but the Chameleon started out as a normal guy who was an expert with masks and it's nice to see them call back to that aspect of him.

Holographic tech and image inducers are cool and all, but how can one be used to look, sound and feel like a smaller person? Cyclops (6'3", 195 lbs.) used an image inducer to appear to be Polaris (5'7", 115 lbs.), so convincing that even a Skrull spy carrying them over his shoulder failed to notice the 8" and 80 lbs difference.

I guess I just prefer a more realistic attempt to disguise, especially when it's the whole gimmick of the character.

And yes, I am also a fan of shapeshifters like Mystique and Martian Manhunter, I just don't think everyone needs to be a shapeshifter.
